Field Responsibilities:

John was appointed a Specialized Assignment Missionary, serving as Administrative Assistant for
the Eurasia Regional Office in Bolton, England, in 1985. He transferred to Schaffhausen,
Switzerland, with the relocation of the regional office to that city In 1990. He was granted a
Career Assignment contract In February 1992;

John is involved in a variety of ministries in addition to his duties in the regional office. He also
holds the positions of Northern Europe Field Director, Eurasia Regional Education Coordinator,
Eurasia Regional Literature Coordinator, and Eurasia Regional Special Projects Coordinator.

John was born in Greensboro, North Carolina. He received the BA degree in Religion and the M.A
degree in Old Testament from Southern Nazarene University in Bethany, Oklahoma, in 1976 and
1977. He received the Master of Divinity degree from Nazarene Theological Seminary in Kansas
City, Missouri, in 1980. He received ordination from the British Isles South District In 1982.

Prior to his current assignment, John served as an associate pastor In youth and music, and as
pastor for nearly nine years In Britain. He taught voice at Nazarene Theological College in
Manchester, England. During his pastoral work, he served as NYI VP and Home Missions
chairman of the Board of Home Missions on the British Isles South District.
